[Development Case] Rockfall Prevention Monitoring System

Monitoring system for tunnel construction using wireless sensor networks.

This is a case study of a system that monitors and prevents collapses during tunnel construction. In tunnel excavation, it is necessary to continuously monitor information such as temperature, humidity, rock surface stress, and moisture content in unstable areas to ensure safer construction, quickly detect abnormalities, and take measures before accidents occur. Conventional methods required moving sensors and other equipment each time the excavation site changed, which limited the effectiveness of monitoring for safety relative to costs. This system uses a wireless network module (WSN) based on Zigbee to centrally manage and monitor strain data from various distributed locations over extended periods. [Challenges] - Ability to monitor from a distance of about 100 meters - Capability for long-term continuous stable monitoring - Output power supply triggers for strain sensors from the measurement node side - Ability to set output timing and integrate it into the measurement node - Easy installation - Delivery within a short lead time (around 3 weeks) - No need for battery replacement for over 3 months - Cost-effectiveness *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Metal tube fiber optic strain sensor [for distributed fiber optic sensing]

[Free sample available] The optical fiber is protected by a metal tube, making it highly resistant to environmental conditions and easy to install.

The optical fiber for distributed optical fiber sensing is strongly protected by various seamless metal tubes, making it highly resistant to environmental conditions and easy to install. 【Features】 ◎ The optical fiber is encapsulated within the metal tube in a state of negative excess length. ◎ The optical fiber is intermittently fixed to the metal tube by crimping. → Appropriate tension is applied to the optical fiber in advance to ensure initial sensitivity as a sensor. → Prevents sensor destruction due to localized large deformations caused by phenomena such as crack formation. ◎ Sensor application environments Stainless steel tube type: In normal atmospheric conditions Incoloy tube type: In atmospheres requiring resistance to chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, and electro-corrosion. *Environment: Stainless steel or Incoloy can be selected according to the application environment. *Additionally, it can also be used for temperature sensors and FTTH. ★☆★ Free sample available ★☆★ If you would like a free sample, please contact us with your intended use (planned application) using the information below.
